CAA Membership Application Update for CSGA Members
The CAA has received many emails and calls since CSGA members received the news that equivalency tables were available for our membership – nice work team!
I just want to clarify the available tables for our members:
CSGA Level 2 – CAA Practitioner applications available
CSGA Level 3 – CAA Practitioner & Professional applications available
Coming later this fall: CSGA Level 1 – CAA Practitioner application
There is no special equivalency table available for those CSGA Level 2 members looking to apply for a Professional membership because the CAA ITP Level 2 is not a prerequisite for the CSGA Level 2. The CAA ITP Level 2 is a prerequisite for CAA Professional membership. So, if you are a Level 2 CSGA looking to apply for professional membership with the CAA you must use the regular professional table. However, there are there are competencies that can be proven with evidence from the CSGI Level 2 course and a good description of how you meet those competencies written by you.
If you have more questions, please have a look on the CAA website here : https://www.avalancheassociation.ca/page/Recognized_Competency_Equivalencies
Thanks,
Erin
